Online Safety Guidance
As a parent or carer you play a key role in helping your child to stay safe online.
Don't feel that you need to be an expert on the internet to help keep your child stay safe online however by keeping yourself informed on the current apps and websites that they are using could prevent your child/ren being exposed to events and situations that they are not yet ready for.
Protect Young Eyes explains digital trends, social media, & parental controls. We teach internet safety via webinars, our app, & live talks.
The centre has three main functions:
-
Awareness Centre: to provide advice and support to children and young people, parents and carers, schools and the children's workforce and to coordinate Safer Internet Day across UK.
-
Helpline: to provide support to professionals working with children and young people with online safety issues.
-
Hotline: an anonymous and safe place to report and remove child sexual abuse imagery and videos, wherever they are found in the world.
