Pre-School

Harris Primary Academy Merton are really fortunate to provide a pre-school setting for children to learn in. Our pre-school staff are a welcoming and dedicated team who are committed to the welfare and education of young children.

Pre-school is suitable for children between the age of 2-3 years old and we have 24 part time places available; 12 in the morning and 12 in the afternoon. We offer paid places as well as funded, please contact Charlotte in the office if you require further information.

Our morning session is from 8:30am - 11:30am and afternoon session 12:30pm - 3:30pm.

Our highly qualified and experienced staff offer the children a learning through play based experiences, under the areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. This contributes to the development of the ‘whole child’ as our aim is to enable all our children to have fun and foster a love for learning. This curriculum includes the seven areas of learning: PSED (Personal, Social and Emotional Development), PD (Physical Development), CL (Communication and Language), Literacy (Reading and Writing), Mathematics (number and space, shape and measure), EAD (Expressive Arts and Design) and UW (Understanding of the World).

We are committed to ensuring equality of opportunities for all and we will endeavour to develop a culture of inclusion and diversity within the pre-school setting.
